| 1) This seminar can be attended by both judges and handlers.
2) The focus of the two days will be on test set up and scoring.
3) This seminar will help better define what AKC is looking for in hunt tests.
4) This seminar does not fulfill a seminar requirement for a novice judge who has not already attended the level one seminar.
5) If a judge has already attended a level one seminar, has judged several tests, and is coming up on soon needing to attend another seminar to maintain their judging eligibility, then this seminar will satisfy that seminar requirement.
6) Saturday AM will be all classroom training. Saturday PM will be conducted in the field. We will run a total of nine dogs on Saturday PM, three each at JR, SR & Master level tests. The club will provide the test dogs.
7) Sunday AM and PM will be conducted in the field. We will run a total of 18 dogs on Sunday. Three each at JR, SR and Master in AM and then the same in the PM. The club will provide the test dogs.
8) AKC reps will set up all of the tests.
8) These are not training days for handlers to run dogs.
9) Seminar attendees will judge each dog at each test, then the AKC reps will discuss the test set up and the scoring, addressing the subjective nature of the scoring and describing AKC's views and expectations. |
